"How your company gets the research grant."
Who can apply for the research grant?
The research allowance is a tax incentive that companies can receive for their research and development activities. It is intended to help strengthen Germany as an investment location and stimulate future-oriented growth. It is available to both domestic and foreign companies and investors and can be particularly beneficial to the research activities of small and medium-sized enterprises. According to the law, eligible research and development projects ("R&D projects") include basic research, industrial research and experimental development.

Tax incentives for necessary progress
Without research and development, many companies cannot grow. And without growth and the new investment funds that come with it, progress stops slowly. It is therefore only right and proper that Germany has joined many other countries such as France, the UK, Canada and the USA in introducing tax incentives for research and development projects. Applying for the research allowance can be a complex process. But at Löhr, we specialize in complex issues and are here to assist you personally at every stage of the application process.
